Because time is part of the process. Each bag is designed and handmade with respect for memory, roots, and the individuality of the craft. Every piece is shaped slowly, allowing attention to detail and honoring the material, so you receive a bag that carries both purpose and care.
We live in a fast-pase world, our approach ensures that each bag is made with intention, not excess.
How long does Made-to-order take?
Made on Demand pieces require time to be crafted. Please allow 2–3 weeks before shipping.
Can I choose or customize the charms?
Charm compositions are thoughtfully curated by Melana Kir. Each charm is chosen to naturally belong to the bag it completes, ensuring every piece is unique.
The charms are selected by the designer and form part of each piece’s identity. At the moment, customization is available exclusively at Melana Kir pop-up events.
Is Melana Kir sustainable?
Melana Kir works in small batches, prioritizing handmade processes and mindful production. Each piece is crafted individually, avoiding overproduction and allowing time, care and attention to every detail. Materials are chosen carefully, with an emphasis on longevity rather than mass production.
are the charms removable?
Yes. The charms are the statement of each bag, but they can always be switched, changed, or purchased separately in the future. You can also use them as keychains or decorative pieces beyond the bag itself.
